NOTES

HANDLING
All the products must be handled with care to avoid damage

STORAGE
It is advisable to store the articles in a dry environment, protected from extreme cold, far from heat sources, humid walls, doors and windows (ideal temperature range from 15°C to 25°C); it is also appropriate to avoid placing these utensils in direct contact with the ground and direct exposure to sunlight. The products must be stored in their original packages until first used and afterwards must be appropriately packed to avoid deformation.

SAFETY
When using these products it is necessary to wear protective goggles, gloves, dust protection masks, ear plugs, a thick apron and safety boots. It is important to heed the recommendations for use indicated by the manufacturer of the abrasives. Where foreseen, the machines must be equipped with all the safety devices during the sanding operations and these devices must not be modified. The protective cap (carter) must always be installed in the machines and must never be removed. If the sanding operation causes the production of sparks, it is necessary to work far from inflammable materials or places that are at risk for explosions. One should try to direct the sparks towards the ground and avoid them hitting ones face and body. Where a dust suction system is foreseen this must be used. The material to be processed must be firmly fixed before starting work and the abrasive products must be visually checked before use in order to ensure that they are appropriate for the job to be performed. The sanding utensils must never be modified. The operation speed must never exceed that indicated on the label. The clamping flaps must conform to those prescribed. During cutting the cutting path must be followed without applying lateral force. If the disk jams it must be freed with due caution without applying lateral force. The cutting disks (thicknesses from 0,4 to 4 mm) must be used only for this purpose and never for grinding. It is appropriate to use grinding disks (thicknesses from 4,8 to 10 mm) with an angle of attack between 30 to 40° since a lesser angle will weaken the product. If cutting or grinding disks are subject to a violent impact, for example by falling from the machine, it is necessary to immediately substitute it as its robustness could be compromised. If a portable sandpapering machine of used, it is necessary to switch off the machine and wait for it to stop moving before laying it down.
